Sleep and serenity
The 5-hydroxy-tryptophan (5-HTP) found in the seeds of Griffonia is a derivative of tryptophan, an essential amino acid. It is the direct precursor of serotonin, which is converted into melatonin in the pineal gland. Serotonin plays a vital role in many physiological and emotional processes. Indeed, the daily stress induces a decrease in the secretion of serotonin. 5-HTP allows to compensate the imbalance in the brain and allows rapid relaxation.
